Space at camp is limited by the number of adult volunteers. Campers who register with an adult volunteer will be given preference.

Required for registration:

  • A completed registration form and health history.
  • Full payment is required at the time of registration, or a minimum of $50 deposit if using cookie credits or financial assistance. 

Payment

Camp fee must be paid in full to confirm your registration. 

A camper with an outstanding balance will be placed on the waiting list until payment is received. 

Any registration with an outstanding balance on May 1 will be assessed a $50 late fee, and any registration with an outstanding balance on June 13 will be cancelled (we must receive GSK Credits by May 15). 

Forms of Payment: cash, check, money order, or GSK Credits (cookie dough). 

If you are applying for Financial Assistance, or using GSK Credits, you must include a minimum of a $50 deposit with your registration.

Full payment is due by 
June 12 for all campers.

Do not mail or deliver any paperwork or payments to the Girl Scout office.

Confirmation

After your register for camp, you will get an email through JotForm stating that we received your reservation. We will email a confirmation, or a waiting list notification, once a camper's registration has been processed. A camp information letter will be emailed two weeks before camp. The letter will include everything you and your camper need to know about attending camp.

Camp Details

Camp fee includes: Camp shirt, camp patch, all activities and programs, and two snacks each day. There are additional fees for optional activities (off-site trips and overnights) and bus transportation.

***Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day.***


Transportation Options: Car Rider or Bus Rider

         Bus Stops: St. Agnes (1800 Newburg Rd.) and Lyles Plaza (28th and Broadway)

         Bus Fees: $20 per camper; $5 per Pixie or Boy camper; Free for adult volunteers


Note: A bus stop must have an adult volunteer riding the bus all five days and a minimum of 10 campers to operate. Any bus stop not meeting these minimums by April 30 will be cancelled


Camp Shantituck is located at 3900 E Hebron Ln, Shepherdsville, KY.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available to registered Girl Scouts (formerly called Scouterships).

  • To Apply online, complete the Financial Assistance information during the registration process.
  • To Apply on paper, complete the Financial Assistance form and mail it to the camp registrar with the registration, health history, and a $50 deposit.
  • A $50 deposit must accompany the registration even if you anticipate GSK Credits and/or Financial Assistance to cover the full amount. We will refund any overpayments after credits/assistance are received.
  • The Girl Scout office will then notify both you and the camp registrar of the decision concerning your financial assistance.
  • Everyone is expected to pay a portion of the camp fee.

Late Registration

Registrations received, or not paid in full, after April 30 are assessed a $50 late fee. Please be aware that camp often fills during priority registrations and campers who register late are not guaranteed a camp shirt.

Refunds

The camp fee may be refunded for a cancellation due to illness, family emergency, or a move. Requests for a refund must be made in writing to the camp director at least two weeks prior to the first day of camp (by June 26, 2017). A non-refundable $15 processing fee is applied to each camper.

Health and safety

Girls Scouts of Kentuckiana day camps and summer camporees adhere to the standards for health and safety set by the state and the Girl Scouts as printed in Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints.

Lost and Found

Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana and day camps cannot be responsible for loss of, or damage to, campers' personal belongings. Any items not claimed within 14 days of camp closing will be donated to a local charity.
